It’s time to start getting teams together for the 2024 season. All player registrations should be completed using the table below to ensure that players are registered in the correct age group for the 2024 season. Note that the AJSA places more emphasis on the school year of the player than the actual date of birth. This ensures that players can play in teams with their school peers.
Players can be placed in a team in a higher age group to make up numbers, and girls may play down one age group for the same reason. However, both must be done with the consent of the players parents.

Please note: all leagues are provisional only. Recruit your players based on these age groups and then an assessment will be made once team nominations have been received as to whether some leagues need to be combined.
PLAYFOOTBALL
Players self-register online. This is compulsory. Each club needs to ensure they have a ‘club registrar’ with their FFA number and online access. The club registrar needs to be nominated early so the fees can be activated early for the online registrations to be set up. Please note that clubs that have teams in both the AJSA and GSSA will need to obtain two separate FFA numbers and will therefore have separate juniors and seniors registered with PLAYFOOTBALL.
Teams
Team nominations are required to be submitted to the registrar by email by the last Thursday of term 1, Thursday 28 March (along with team names if there is more than one team in each age group). Names of players on each team are not required at this stage, just the number of teams that each club will be entering in each age group. This date is critical so that fixtures are ready to go by the start of the season. Names of players in the junior leagues (under 12s up) will need to be allocated to a team on PLAYFOOTBALL by Friday 19 April (day before the opening round), failure to comply with this will result in teams forfeiting matches.
